Our main objective is to use purebred dorper rams to help, and increase the quality of lamb we are receiving.
Using a smaller scale feedlot system with lambs, also increases the growth speed, and quality of meat.
With the help of a smaller scale feedlot system we produce very good lambs for our markets. Lambs is weaned at 2 months, and then given good quality feed to make sure it market ready at 5 months.
Imported purebred dorper rams is being placed with purebred dorper females to produce the best possible quality rams for breeding. These rams is used with our female herd when old enough.
We have a large amount of female sheep that we produces us with good lambs for our feedlot. We try and stay close as possible to a dorper breed for the harsh high temperature we receive in the summer time. With a good management system we are able to produce lambs straight through the year to insure that we never have a shortage of lambs for our customers.
